Lismore Regional Gallery is the fifth oldest regional gallery in New South Wales supporting the Northern Rivers artistic community. The gallery contributes regionally and nationally to a living culture in New South Wales and makes accessible creative programs for the enjoyment and engagement of locals and visitors. Lismore Regional Gallery’s program reflects the social, historical, creative and cultural aspects of the region.

NORPA is a leading regional performing arts company based in Lismore. Since 1993, NORPA has produced a significant body of new work – partly inspired by the region – and has presented hundreds of works for local and regional audiences. In 2001 NORPA was awarded the Sidney Myer Performing Arts Group Award in recognition of the contribution the company has made to the performing arts.

Splendour in the Grass is an annual music, arts and youth culture event produced on the outskirts of Byron Bay each July/August since 2001. The festival temporarily relocated to Woodfordia in QLD in 2010. Alongside a staggering array of the world’s leading music talent from Australia and overseas, Splendour has produced a significant arts and performance program under the direction of festival director and promoter Jessica Ducrou and arts program artistic director – Craig Walsh.
The Australia Council for the Arts is the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body. It supports Australia’s arts through funding, strengthening and developing the arts sector. It collaborates to build new audiences, foster philanthropic support and deepen our understanding of the arts through research. Each year, the Australia Council provides more than $160 million in funding for arts organisations and individual artists across the country. The council also funds Splendid and the other programs which make up the current government initiative to deliver Opportunities for Young and Emerging Artists.
